Like a flannel

Saturday, April 19th, 2008

I’m not going to lie to you. I hate The Mighty Boosh. Yeah, at times it’s funny, but I watch it now and I can hear the lines being mimicked by hundreds upon hundreds of attention seeking scenesters, and those bastard individuals have turned an oddball, mediocre comedy into an oddball, mediocre mess. I think it’s a case of “I don’t hate The Mighty Boosh (though don’t get me started on my thoughts about Noel fucking Fielding), I hate its followers”. I’ll leave it at that.

I apologise to those normal people who are not attention seeking quote whore scenesters like the rest of them. I apologise, because although you are blessed with normality, you are cursed with a predilection towards forced difference and lousy comedy.

Happy 60th?

Stumble it!

Happy 60th indeed! Stereotypes are great aren’t they? If at times a little annoying.
I do own the Plain White T’s album, and have none of the afore mentionned characteristics, but then I guess we’re all different. Also, I just don’t get The Mighty Boosh thing at all.

    Keep comicking Cos!

…nice use of the word scenester! Did have to check it though, I thought it unlike you to misspell sinister…

Awesome, this can never get old! Im still plugging away relentlessly with the voting. Mighty boosh….has made me laugh, but yeah, so many fucking annoying fans shouting “im old greg” and that bollocks. Does get on ones tits somewhat.

Seconds to that Francis. I love the Boosh, though the 3rd series was crap. It’s so annoying with the dumb fucking emo’s who don’t get the comedy at all and just like to shout catch phrases and want to shag Vince Noir (and seem incapable of realising that Noel Fielding is not Vince Noir).

I put it to you, the good people of the readership of Dead ends, that The Mighty Boosh is the Little Britain for emo’s… and that this comic is tops!

Ooops, did I start a revolution?

Anna: Stereotypes are great for comics, and for mockery in general - owning one album that happens to be loved by trendy, try hard types does not make you so. I have danced, and indeed own a variety of “Fall Out Boy” songs.

Sofi: I don’t misspell. I am the Spell Master. And thank you for your compliment.

Francis and Catherine: That’s entirely what I was going for with this strip. I’ve just watched series two (well, about a month or so ago), and to be honest, found it to be more repetitive of series one, which was much better. I have yet to see the third series, and to be honest, don’t really want to.

Also, Catherine, I love the Little Britain for Emos thing. Made me laugh hysterically.

one CD perhaps, you haven’t seen the rest of my music collection! ha ha ha. but indeed, they do not make one part of a stereotype group.
